The sad loss of a 1980s icon,
Corey Haim – who died last Wednesday – was mourned by many in Toronto yesterday at Steeles Memorial Chapel.
Over 200 people attended the child-star’s funeral, with one significant person missing – his long-time friend and other Corey,
Corey Feldman. Corey Feldman, also an ’80s star, may not have attend the funeral but his second cousin, Maytal Kotler told the Toronto Star newspaper the event was "very sad but with a lot of laughter".
A long supporter of Corey, Fan Jennifer Matton, drove a massive eight hours from Philadelphia to Toronto to show her support. Of her dedication to the star she says, "I think I'm his number one fan. I've loved him since I was 13. I've never done anything like this before, but when I found out he died, I was very sad."
It is believed Corey died of an accidental drugs overdose, but a toxicology report has yet to be released.
