Catherine’s angry at the doctors
Catherine Zeta-Jones is livid at the doctors who failed to detect her husband
Michael Douglas’ throat cancer earlier. The 65-year-old star is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment after a walnut-sized tumour was discovered at the base of his tongue last month. “It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier,” she said. “He sought every option and nothing was found.”
The 40-year-old Welsh actress also revealed that hearing Michael’s diagnosis wasn’t surprising, especially as he had been complaining of severe throat and ear pain. She added: “It wasn’t a huge shock. I knew something was up. He knew something was up.”
Michael also admitted the throat pain had been recurring for several months before he finally found out what was wrong. “It had been bothering me for a while. I went through a litany of doctors and tests,” he said. “These things sometimes just don’t show up.”
All the best, Michael.
