Bobby Brown took the stage and declared his love for the tragic pop icon. Brown appeared emotional onstage while performing with his group, the New Edition, in Mississippi. According to a source, Brown was devastated after hearing of the singer's passing and repeatedly broke down into crying fits backstage. After the performance an emotional Brown pointed to the sky shouting, "I love you, Whitney" in front of his loyal fans and friends. Houston and Brown had a chaotic 16 year marriage before they divorced in 2006. The couple also had an 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
